It’s nice to have another dining option in Deep Ellum other than burgers and Tex-Mex.
Not that we don’t adore a quick meat n’cheese fix, but a healthy lunch of Vietnamese fare is something we can embrace with open arms. And, owner of newly opened Lemongrass Asian Bistro, Khoa Nguyen (formerly of East Wind Restaurant), is embracing his new hood too.
“The eclectic vibe here -- the weirdness -- we love it. We serve Asian food and that is what it’s all about. Good food and an open atmosphere,” said Ngyuen of his new bistro.
Nguyen has teamed up with executive chef Tuyet Davis to offer both a lunch and dinner menu for guests. House specialties include grilled steak spring rolls, sushi and soft flat rice noodles.
“I hope this restaurant helps revive Deep Ellum,” said Nguyen.
As long as the sashimi is fresh and the spring rolls are served with sweet nuoc cham (Vietnamese dipping sauce), let’s keep hope alive.
