Matriarch Of Ojeda's Mexican Restaurants Dead

Cecilia Ojeda, the matriarch of the Ojeda’s Mexican restaurants, died Wednesday, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Ojeda's husband Ben, who opened the restaurant with her passed away in 1989.


“We never would have opened Ojeda’s without my mom,” said daughter Cecilia Behgam.

“She was the force behind the family."

Celebrities such as Jack Nicholson, Johnny Mathis, many Dallas Cowboys, Doc Severnson and former President Bill Clinton have eaten at the popular Tex-Mex eatery.


Cecilia Ojeda was 90 years old.
