Looking All Crazy

Ojos Locos, or Crazy Eyes, set to open in FW

Man’s basic needs can pretty much be summed up in four words: hot wings, hot women, cold beer, and sports. OK, that’s seven words but you get the idea.

Downtown Fort Worth looks to be becoming a mecca for the male mantra. Fox and Hound is already there, Frankie’s Sports Bar and Grill is under construction, set to open early next year, and now Ojos Locos, or Crazy Eyes in English, has its, um, eye on a downtown location right across the street from Fox and Hound.

Hmm, Super Bowl anticipation much?

Anyway, just what is Ojos Locos? It’s a Hispanic version of Twin Peaks because it just so happens both are owned and operated by the same breastaurateurs.

The sports emphasis here will be on fútbol rather than football. The visual emphasis here likely will be on breasts rather than wings.

Frankly, I’ve never really seen the attraction — well, physically, yes; but conceptually, no. Why not just go a few blocks pretty much in any direction and get the full frontal monty?

Bruce Felps owns and operates East Dallas Times, an online community news outlet serving the White Rock Lake area. He is definitely a fan of, um, sports.
