Food Truck Set to Roll, Park in FW

Wiener Man coming to Near Southside

The Wiener Man, and his trusty sidekick, Bun Boy, set up culinary shop on Fort Worth’s Near Southside next week.

The Southside’s first food truck will be located on Magnolia Avenue — in the Avoca Coffee parking lot — according to FortWorthlology.com, and should be open for business May 2, although the regular business days and hours of operation have yet to be determined.

Think lunch, dinner, and late munchies, though.

WM, as his friends call him, will use locally grown produce as toppings for all-beef hot dogs. Chili, of course, will be among the options, as will vegetarian and vegan franks, although those things probably shouldn’t have gone together in the same sentence.

Something oddly appealing about a super hero — na-na-na-NAH-na-Naaaah, it's Wiener Man — who commands “all corndogs must bow before me.”

Oh, but there may or may not be a real Bun Boy. That part’s kind of made up.
