FW Welcomes the “Anthony” Weiner

FW restaurant names hot dog after disgraced congressman

The Eatery restaurant in Fort Worth named a hot dog after a notorious horndog.

The restaurant recently put hot dog wienie to bun and created the Anthony weiner, those sly devils. The kicker, besides its namesake who likely still is kicking himself, is the lettuce wrap around the weiner.

"We recommend the Anthony wiener stay wrapped at all times," Chef Don Gifford said, only a little tongue-in-cheeky, in a press release.

The kosher, half-pound dog also comes on a toasted bun, and various condiments — oh so close, speaking of wrapped — and toppings, for people who like stuff on top, are available to dress out the dog.

And, fittingly, The Eatery today opened a photo contest that runs through June 30. Customers should photograph their Anthony — as opposed to Johnson, please — and post the pics to The Eatery’s Facebook page. The photo with the most “likes” wins the Anthony owner a steak dinner for two.

Extra credit points go to photos that include gray undies. But you knew that, right?
