Monolithic corporation and arbiter of all things American -- McDonald's -- is handing out 4,300 free DART rail passes and 10,000 coupons for a free Angus Third Pound Burger.

McDonald’s “Try Free Ride Free” commuter program lasts from 6:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Only Mockingbird Station and the West End Station are participating in the first beefy installment of the program.

“This is a great way for us to remind everyone about the great value DART commuters enjoy,” DART spokesman Morgan Lyons said. “Just as important we’ll use this opportunity to thank our customers for going green by sharing the ride.”

Other participating cities include: Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver and Washington, D.C.
