Victory Park turned into a battlefield last night as the Red River Rivalry kicked off early in a Texas vs. Oklahoma match of a different kind.
Dallas' Erykah Badu and her DJ crew, the Cannabinoids, represented Texas, while electro-poppers Shiny Toy Guns played the Oklahoma part during a four-round battle of the bands in the heart of Victory Park.
Both bands faced each other (literally) in front of the AAC, while the crowd cheered to determine the winners.
Local Badu had the edge and won the battle, though the Guns may be the long-term winners: we'd bet more folks are going to be looking up Shiny on iTunes after the show.
