Organizers of Fort Worth's Jazz by the Boulevard Music and Arts Festival just announced that George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, Chris Botti and The Blind Boys of Alabama will headline the event in September.
More performers will be annnounced through the summer, but the main attractions for the 7th annual event are in place.
The Godfather of funk, George Clinton, and Parliament-Funkadelic perform Friday, Sept. 11. Trumpeter and former Katie Couric squeeze, Botti, plays on Sept. 12. The gospel-singing Blind Boys from Alabama take the stage Sunday night, Sept. 13.
This year, there's a $5 per person admission fee each day for lawn seating. VIP packages are available also. The new Omini Hotel Fort Worth put together a Jazz Under the Stars package for two that includes a one-night stay, breakfast and reserved seating for $249.
Historic Camp Bowie initiatives produces the annual event to preserve and beautify the Camp Bowie Boulevard distrct and expose people to the city's Cultural District.
