BACKYARD CHICKENS AND MORE: It might have started out as a book that turned into a TV series that turned into a play, but Little House on the Prairie is about American as apple pie. Get out tonight to see "Reasons To Be Pretty" at the Wyly Theatre. The third in a trilogy of edgy, modern plays by Neil Labute, the writer and director of such heartwarming tales as "In the Company of Men." Fans of Bret Easton Ellis will appreciate this hip, unsettling narrative.
NORTHERN NATURE: There’s something in the water in Denton, TX. Great songwriters and musicians seem to just spring from the streets of the lil’ D. Sarah Jaffe has been on the radar for quite some time as the next Norah Jones, and with recent DFW dates with the chanteuse herself, it seems likely that the kind of success that proceeded Ms. Jones is sure to follow Ms. Jaffe. Tonight marks the CD release of her first LP, Suburban Nature at Dan’s Silverleaf. Get there early as this is sure to sell out.
