Little People of America to hold convention in Dallas

On July 29, more than 2,000 people of short stature, and their families, will spend a week in Dallas.

The Little People of America is holding its annual convention right here in Dallas. The week will be filled with the normal Texas tourism experience: rodeos, museums, and other attractions.

As with most conventions, attendees will also take part in workshops and banquets.

Hotels hosting the conventioneers are taking extra steps to ensure a comfortable and accessible environment for guests of all sizes, including extra step stool availability and modified placement of amenities.

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is permanently installing Step ‘n Wash self-retracting steps in all 131 bathrooms to make it easier for conference attendees to wash their hands.

According to the Little People of America website, there are over 200 distinct types of dwarfism.
