Fort Worth's Royal Wedding Watch Party

Restaurants open early to show the Royal Wedding

North Texans experiencing royal fever woke up well before dawn to watch Will and Kate tie the knot.

One local restaurant opened their doors at 3 a.m. to give some of those people a place to celebrate. Asdren Azemi, executive chef at Ruffino's in Fort Worth, said he never expected such an amazing turn out.

"I thought, five, 10 people, 20 max, but we got a full house," Azemi said.

Most of the guests, the majority of whom were women, wore outrageous hats and pajamas to the event while they sipped champagne.

One of the revelers, Christi Cameron, said she wouldn't dream of dragging her husband to today's event.

"My husband was joking and he said, 'I’ll go with you' and I looked at him and said, 'No you won't,'" Cameron said.

After the ceremony, the guests were treated to an authentic English breakfast.
