Fort Worth Hosts Free Shred Day

City will shred, recycle docs for free for residents

The city of Fort Worth will shred documents for citizens for free Nov. 17 at LaGrave Field.

Residents of the city can drop off documents to be shredded at LaGrave field between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. -- all residents need to do is bring a license or water bill to prove residency.

Fort Worth residents can bring up to five boxes of personal documents (weighing no more than 40 pounds each) to be shredded and recycled.

Bulk items like tires (up to 4 per resident), batteries, light bulbs and other recyclable items will be collected as well.

Goodwill will be on hand to collect gently used electronics, small appliances, furniture, clothing and other household items.
