Culture Comes to Northeast Tarrant County

Arts festival the first of its kind in the city

The Haltom City Arts Festival debuts Saturday, October, 2011. It will feature the works of 26 local artists, demonstrations by wood turners, painters and other artists, live performances by musicians, dance groups and a special children's area.

It will take place at the Haltom City Library, 4908 Haltom Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Artists will have their works for sale.

Here’s more from the festival’s press release:

The event is the result of efforts by a group of Haltom City residents interested in bringing art to the city as a means of improving residents' quality of life and building economic development prospects. The group formed a year ago as the Art in the City Committee and quickly became a subcommittee of Keep Haltom City Beautiful. They hope to attract art lovers from within and outside the community to the festival and to build the event next year. There will be food concessions and parking is free.
