8/19: Sir Paul, RTB2, and Tasty Tapas

BEATLEMANIA: The freshly game-ready turf is rolled up, Matt Lauer's swept through to tape a segment and Paul McCartney's road crew has tilled the setup since Saturday, the Dallas Morning News reports. It must be time for a gig truly massive enough for Cowboys Stadium. Three hundred tickets to see Sir Paul were still up for grabs as of yesterday, after additional tix were released. Our editor offers his theories on the not-quite-sellout here. Show's at 7:30PM.

SOUL MEN: Ahem, Journeyman Pictures, we've got an animated sider for "Cold Souls" and it isn't even out yet. Check it: two spicy souls removed from the bodies of troubled rule-breakers emerge from their holding tanks, wracked with energy and curiously potent musical talent. They emit unadulterated blues in their raw, bouncing forms, with no human to hold them. What band could carry the roles? RTB2. (In fact, the characters were written for the duo.) See them for Ace's B-Day Face Bash with Dirty Sound Here and Holy Spain at City Tavern, 9PM.

TOP TAPAS: Gourmet sleuth Annie Potasznik clued us in on some new additions to the menu at Sangría Tapas y Bar to further customize your delectable nibble-and-share tapas dinners. Things get bumping on Wednesday nights at the intimate spot as International Night brings DJ Tony and specials on drinks and tapas. Music starts at 8:30PM; get there early to stake out a patio table.
