6/10: A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock and Roll

Get down, give back and act out tonight

UP ALL NIGHT, COUNTRY WAY: There once was a time when coffee was country's best friend. When men rode horses to the bar and two-stepped the floor into a pile of dust. Well those days are long over. The Country Throwdown Tour is coming to the Superpages Center, and you can bet your boots that its strange bedfellow of a sponsor, Rockstar Energy Drink will have everybody properly hopped up and ready to bootscoot down those concrete aisles. Artists include Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Jack Ingram, Little Big Town, The Eli Young Band and Eric Church.

IT'S ALL GOOD: Sometimes you can have an amazingly healthy dose of fun, while giving back something to the world...and no we're not trying to get you to build a house or anything like that. We're talking about genuine independent fun, with genuine independent giving, all rolled up into a pulled pork slider. While this all might sound a bit confusing, the idea behind the Switch Concert Series is relatively simple. This local design firm bring out the beer, bands and food for free at their Uptown Hoffice (House/Office) and you being of solid character donates the appropriate sum of fun ingested to the charity of their choice. This month it's Gladney in Ethiopia. Things get going at 7PM and features musical guest lalagray.

SAY WHAT?: If a quiet night at the theater is more your speed tonight then check out Blankity-Blank down at Theatre Three. Blankity-Blank is a rollercoaster ride of a new musical. Each performance is unique because the audience provides over 130 pieces of missing information: names, places, job titles, locations… the list goes on. Blankity-Blank has everything: romance, mystery, evil plots, terrible secrets, and a twist at the end. Throw in some terrific music and some clever lyrics and Blankity-Blank is a breezy and delightful one-of-a-kind theatrical experience by the creator of Das Barbecu!
