1/8-1/9: Weekend Madness

Jiggle Butt Run, Blue Suede Rock & Roll and No Pants

JIGGLE BUTT RUN: If you’re working hard to lose that extra jiggle the holidays added to your backside, now’s the time to kick it up a notch and join fellow jigglers for the Jiggle Butt Run this Saturday. The 5K run/walk benefits the Safe Haven of Tarrant County Women’s Shelter and starts at 9 a.m. at the Maverick Athletic Center at the University of Texas at Arlington. Lace up the sneaks and bring a few girlfriends because this race is all about the women. Registration is $25 on race day.

GET ALL SHOOK UP: The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is throwing a grown up Blue Suede Rock & Roll bash this Saturday. The afterhours party will have you belting out high notes in the karaoke contest, challenge you in remote-controlled Led Zeppelin races and keep you dancing to rock favorites. The rock and roll celebration is all the rage in Cowtown. So hyped up, it’s rumored that even Elvis will make an appearance. Throw on your best KISS get-up, or any other rock star ensemble and get ready to boogie. Tickets are $10 and the event lasts from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

YOU’RE INVITED TO THE NO PANTS PARTY: Strip down to your tidy whiteys and head to Union Station in Dallas for the No Pants Subway Ride happening this Sunday at 2 p.m. The underwear only ride is a global event and was originally created in NYC back in 2002, organized by the scene creating and chaos causing group, Improv Everywhere. This is the second year Dallas will be riding pantsless. The only requirements are that pants must come off (undergarments must be on) and you must keep a straight face. It's suppose to be a bit chilly this weekend, so make sure you have a warm jacket. The last stop is at 5 p.m. at the Fair Park Station, if you plan to stick around for all eight stops.
