12/8: Beauty Bash and Rock Star Karaoke

Tweeting toy drive, make-up addicts unite and get your karaoke game face on

TWEET CHARITY: On your mark, get set – TWEET! The Social Media Club of Dallas is partnering up with Mockingbird Station to support the national Holiday Tweet Drive for a Dallas Toy Tweet Drive and Pub Crawl. Bring a new and unwrapped toy that has a minimum $10 value for a child aged 6 and under to one of the crawl locations (spending 45 minutes at each venue). The crawl will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Vapiano in Mockingbird Station, then head to Margarita Ranch, finally ending at Trinity Hall with scrumptious bites at each location. All toy donations benefit Check-in for Charity and for every Foursquare check-in at Mockingbird Station $1 will be donated to charity. Follow #smcdallas or @smcdallas to find the next stop.

ATTENTION ALL MAKE-UP ADDICTS: Prettycity.com has partnered with SHAPE magazine to bring all the best beauty labels to Dallas for one extravagant beauty sample sale. Along with the opportunity to buy some of the discounted products, you will have a chance to kick back, relax and enjoy complimentary beauty services, walking away with goodie bags in hand. The beautilicious evening will be held at Studios 1019 in Dallas from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 and may sell out before the start of the blush bash -- click here to reserve your place in the beauty line.

HEY NOW, YOU’RE A ROCKSTAR: Dig deep within yourself to channel your inner Steven Tyler and give it all you’ve got in front of a crowd for Rock Star Karaoke. The Loft at the Gilley’s complex is hosting a night of undiscovered talent belting out lyrics on stage with a live band. Dallas’ first live-band karaoke will provide the background noise while you hit all the high notes, with Howard Kelley, Gerald Iragorri, Allan Hayslip, Ed McMahon and Ted Levin. Doors open at 9 p.m. The event is free to all.
