1/27: Football Play Time

GET AMPED BEFORE THE SUPERBOWL: The biggest football event of the year will be happening next week when the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Before all the hootin and hollerin begins on game day, enjoy an NFL Experience at the Dallas Convention Center. What is the experience you ask, well, it’s a chance for children and adults to meet some of the best NFL pros to hit the field – snag a few autographs, purchase football memorabilia and play some games. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children under $12. Visit the Dallas Convention Center anytime between 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and click here for a complete list of hours and days of operation.

DIVINE WINE: If the highlight of your work week is unwinding with a tall glass of vino at the end of it all, then tonight is the night to let your hair down while i Fratelli Ristorante and Wine Bar does the pouring.  For $25 enjoy tapas and imported cheeses complementing refined Northeastern Italian wine. Indulge from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Irving location.

HIP HOP FOR OTHERS: Unik Productions wants to encourage North Texans to showcase their talent. Tonight, they’re premiering a monthly Hip Hop for Hunger Artist Showcase at the Boiler Room in Deep Ellum. The charity showcase will support one local non-profit a month with this evening’s event supporting The AIDS Services of Dallas. Hosted by Star Ford and 97.9 The Beat co-host Tenay, the night of artistic expression begins at 7 p.m. and won’t end until midnight.
