1/22-1/23: Motocross Stunts and Banjo Beats

Freestyle Chaos and The O's

CAUTION: Watch out for the dangerous curves taking over the House of Blues on Saturday night as the 2011 Dallas Burlesque Festival brings sexy back to North Texas.

FREESTYLE CHAOS: If death-defying airborne stunts make you swoon from anticipation, you’re in luck, because this Saturday the Nuclear Cowboyz Freestyle Chaos tour just happens to be in town. Watch as two freestyle motocross teams (Soldiers of Havoc and Metal Mulisha) perform dangerous (and choreographed) in the air entertainment all for a round of applause. The motocross mayhem starts at 7:30 p.m. at the American Airlines Center. Tickets are $35-$95, $10 for kids.

THE O’S: Taylor Young and John Pedigo are just two guys from Dallas who like making music. Collectively as The O’s, they’re the band playing tunes serving as perfect background noise while swiggin’ on a beer. Sing along to banjo-infused songs off their new album “Between the Two” on Saturday night when they play the Double Wide in Dallas along with Sleeping In the Avery and The Blurries. Tickets are $5.

KIDFILM FESTIVAL: Round up the kiddies and take a trip to the Angelika Film Center this Saturday and Sunday for the 27th Annual KidFilm Festival as part of the USA Film Festival. The little tikes even get the chance to meet Zachary Gordon from the film “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” Tickets are $3 with the festival beginning at noon and ending at 5 p.m. on both days.
