12/16: Stylin', Shoppin' and Die Hard Screenin'

Rock out hunger, make a West Village wish and watch Bruce Willis kick butt

STYLIN’ AND DINE-IN: An evening of strutting charity takes over the Rock’n Taco for the Rock’n Out Hunger event. The night of fashion, music and contribution benefits the North Texas Food Bank. All attendees are invited to bring canned goods and any unwanted coats to help those less fortunate during the winter months. Artists Kaie Peck, Matt Ingram and Hair Ballad All-Stars will serenade, while Eric Apparel will present new threads with food and drink specials lasting all night. The Uptown Dallas party starts at 9 p.m. and won’t stop until 2 a.m.

WEST VILLAGE WISHMAKERS: Starting today, until Dec. 19, West Village will make a few wishes come true during the Wish Key Event. Benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, West Village shoppers will receive a wish key for any in-store purchase, plus a $2 donation. Shoppers are invited to use each wish key to unlock the holiday gift box located between Mi Cocina and the Magnolia Theatre. The keyholders able to unlock the box will receive a gift from one of the West Village shops.

YIPPEE KI-YAY: If you’ve had your fill of stockings and Christmas lights, take a break from all the pre C-Day stress and catch a “Not Quite” Christmas Movie at the Angelika Film Center in Mockingbird Station. Every Tuesday and Thursday leading up to Christmas, the Angelika will host indoor screenings of Christmas-themed movies. Tonight for $6, watch Bruce Willis kick butt in the original “Die Hard” at 7:30 p.m. Get there early, seats are first-come, first-served. Click here for future movie screening details.
