Jo Bros to Play Jerry World; AC/DC in Talks

The Jonas Brothers will begin their world tour at Jerry World on June 20.

Rock legend AC/DC and pop band U2 are also in talks to perform at the new Boys stadium, executive vice president Stephen Jones said at a University of Arlington dinner, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

AC/DC was just in North Texas for a sold-out gig at American Airlines Center in January. The band is touring in support of "Black Ice," its first new album in eight years.

The Jonas Brothers also have a recent release, but are no doubt hope there will be more demand for a live show. The tween band's concert flick launched two weekends ago to disappointing results and then collapsed this past weekend.

The Arlington concert will be the first of the Jo Bros' 44 dates in North America. The band will also hit cities in Europe and South America.

On Monday, U2's official Web site briefly listed an October date at the stadium. Dallas is listed as one of the cities for the band's 360-degree World Tour, but neither a venue nor date has not been announced.

The team also wants more college football games than pro games, the Star-Telegram reported.

The only concert announced so far at the new Arlington stadium is George Strait's opening of the venue on June 6.
