Don't Cut This Wildflower!

Richardson's award-winning arts and music festival hits May 15-17

Wildflower! is Richardson’s award-winning, three-day eclectic arts and music festival. And it's back for its 17th year in Richardson’s Galatyn Park Urban Center.

The festival includes two main outdoor stages, the Acoustic Café, the award-winning singer/songwriter stage, the family-friendly Kidz Korner, Teenz Zone, strolling entertainers, buskers and acrobats, the Taste of Texas food garden, a petting zoo and an art guitar auction.

Musical headliners includes such heavies as Rick Springfield, Kansas, The Toadies, Kool and the Gang, Hoobastank, Night Ranger, The Edgar Winter band, The Wailers, Jackopierce, The Killdares, Badfish, Vance Gilbert, John Gorka, David Wilcox, Robert Randoph and the Family Band, Le Freak , Tonic, Karen Mal, Susan Werner, Kraig Parker with The World's Foremost Tribute to Elvis and the Spazmatics. Whew!

If that isn’t enough for you, there’s a singer/songwriter contest, a battle of the bands, a wildflower marketplace, a budding talent competition, a "My Neighbor’s Got Talent" contest and a songwriter school. If Simon Cowell were a judge here, he'd be worn out.

The festival is located at 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson, just off US 75 at the Galatyn Parkway exit from May 15-17.
