There is a dire shortage of psychiatric care for adolescents that has led to conflict and crime in a Westchester County town. And while residents demand a solution, the teens meanwhile are being denied the help they so desperately need, putting them at risk of hurting themselves — or others.

Across all communities, there’s a need for more mental health resources but that’s especially true in communities of color. In the Pleasant Grove neighborhood in Dallas, there is now a new facility that is available for the community that is predominantly Latinx. NBC 5’s Sophia Beausoleil has the story.
