Al’s daughter Courtney gave birth to a baby girl named Sky Clara Laga.

Al Roker is officially a grandpa! The 68-year-old’s “Today” co-hosts announced the exciting news on Tuesday’s episode of the NBC morning news show, revealing Roker’s daughter Courtney and her husband, Wesley Laga, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sky Clara Laga, on July 3.

Al Roker returned to the show less than one month after a total knee replacement surgery.

TODAY weatherman Al Roker hopes to be back on the show in the next two weeks after undergoing a surgery that was “a bit of a bear.”

The President shared the news with NBC’s Al Roker at the White House Easter Egg Roll.

On March 14, the weatherman’s oldest daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, announced that she and her husband, Wesley Laga, are expecting their first child together.

Al Roker returned to TODAY Jan. 6 after two months away, and he was in great spirits as he joined Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb in Studio 1A at the top of the show.

After taking time to deal with medical issues, Roker will return to Studio 1A in early January.

Since Al hasn’t returned to Studio 1A yet, the whole gang gathered together in front of his home to show him just how much they’ve missed him.

The TODAY weatherman is grateful for all the well wishes and visits from the TODAY family after a pair of hospital stints in the last month.
