Voluntary Recall for Toy Xylophones Sold In Texas

An importer is recalling 144 xylophones sold in Texas because surface paint on the toy violates the lead paint standard.

A notice today from the Consumer Product Safety Commission says consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children.

No injuries have been reported.

The voluntary recall applies to a miniature toy xylophone with item number KW20119 manufactured in China and imported by Dallas-based King Import Warehouse.

The item number can be found on the packaging.

The toy xylophone was sold from December 2007 through February 2008 for about $1 at Dollar Zone "giant", Sam 99 Cent Store, and 99 Cents Mart in Texas.

Consumers should return them to the Texas store where they were purchased for a replacement toy.
