Woman Accused of Shooting at Husband For Accepting a Job in Texas

An Arizona woman is accused of trying to shoot her husband after he told her he had accepted a job in Texas.

Eloise Kuykendall was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of premeditated first-degree attempted murder, disorderly conduct with a weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The 48-year-old Kuykendall had her initial court appearance Monday and bond was set at $7,500. She doesn't have an attorney yet.

Dennis Montgomery told police that he and his wife were drinking with friends Saturday night before he told her about taking the new job.

He says Kuykendall became angry and told him to get out of their house in Goodyear, west of Phoenix.

Montgomery says he tried to drive away when Kuykendall came outside and began shooting at him. He wasn't injured.
