School Moves to End “Rape Tag” Playground Game

Game game was similar to freeze tag “except that a person had to be humped to be unfrozen.”

It’s like freeze tag but more disturbing.

Concerned administrators at a Minnesota elementary school in New Ulm have reportedly moved to shut down a popular playground game called “rape tag.”

The recess game was similar to freeze tag “except that a person had to be humped to be unfrozen,” Washington Elementary School Principal Bill Sprung wrote in a letter to parents.

According to MSNBC.com, Sprung found out about the game after a parent contacted him on Jan. 10. He said it involved students in two classrooms.

The principal said he told teachers and yard duty staff to talk to students and end the “inappropriate game.”

Sprung added that some of the 15 to 20 concerned parents he’s talked with were upset about the touchy conversations with their kids the game had prompted.
