Miami Couple Arrested After Calling Two Girls Fat While Trying to Steal Their Pizza: Deputies

The two were arrested on battery charges after sparking a bar brawl.

A Miami couple was arrested after trying to steal a family's pizza and calling two girls fat at a Key Largo bar, sparking a brawl.

The confrontation began when the couple, Midalia Silverio Dunn, 43, and George Joseph Burns, 44, walked up to a group of people eating pizza at the Big Chill Bar Thursday night, according to a Monroe County Sheriff's Office news release.

They tried to take some of the pizza from the group -- a couple, their 21-year-old daughter and the daughter's friend - and began to call the girls fat, officials said.

A fight began and Burns struck both girls, knocking one to the ground, the release said.

Burns and Dunn left the bar, but the father followed them out and a fight broke out between he and Burns, officials said.

A woman told Dunn, who was standing by the fighting men, to move out of the way so she wouldn't get hurt, but Dunn punched her, the release said.

Burns and Dunn were treated for injuries at Mariner's Hospital and then arrested on battery charges.

They were both released Friday -- Burns on $6000 bond and Dunn on $2000 bond.
