Some Dallas residents seem to think the construction along Gus Thomasson Road isn't all it's quacked up to be -- so they placed duck pool floats in water at a work zone.

About five large yellow duck floats, an alligator float and small rubber duckies were spotted the water, along with blue letter "B" and "G" piñatas, imitating the "BIG" VisitDallas attractions seen around the city.

Residents posted the pictures on a Facebook event called "Luau at the Casa View Lagoon - Food & Fun," which said it took place Sunday.

The construction project is waddling along -- it's slated to be complete in January 2021.

Editor's Note: We originally reported the work zone was in Mesquite, but it is actually in Dallas. We regret the error.
