Corpus Christi police detained a driver found snoozing in a vehicle in the drive-thru lane of a fast-food restaurant. Police say the 19-year-old suspect allegedly had been drinking.
Police answered a call about a man asleep in his pickup, in a Whataburger drive-thru lane, around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Officers advised the man to turn off the engine and step out of the vehicle, where sobriety tests were done.
The underage drinker faces a driving while intoxicated charge. The legal age for drinking alcohol in Texas is 21.
