Witten Not Concerned with Statistics

Jason Witten has just six catches through two games this season

Through two games in 2014, Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has just six catches for 46 yards and no touchdowns. But Witten says he’s not worried about his individual numbers.

I think for all of us our numbers will come and opportunities will come,” Witten said, per ESPN Dallas. “You have less opportunities because of the way you run the football. I think all of us are committed to that and understand it and do whatever we have to do to help out.”

Witten as well as the five members of the offensive line were given game balls after Sunday’s 26-10 victory over the Titans, in which Dallas ran for 220 yards. He also broke up a near interception.

“Our focus is trying to create that identity of a running football team,” Witten said.
