Wisconsin Governor No Cowboys Fan

Scott Walker doesn't share Chris Christie's appreciation of the Dallas Cowboys

Leading up to this weekend’s divisional round matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys, Wisconsin governor Scott Walker was asked by the Associated Press if he would ever root for a team other than the Pack, in the way New Jersey governor Chris Christie has openly rooted for the Cowboys.

Walker didn’t hesitate.

Never,” Walker said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Never.”

Much has been made of Christie’s relationship with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones since he was seen hanging out in the owner’s box--and giving the Joneses an awkward, celebratory hug--during the wild card victory over the Lions. Jones has since said he’d like Christie to be there this weekend at Lambeau.

Walker has some friendly advice for Christie if he does make the trip.

“While we’re awful polite,” Walker said, “a playoff game is probably not the place for a bunch of Packers fans to be around a Cowboys fan.”
