Who's On, Who's Not?: Sept. 2

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Elvis Andrus β€” Andrus stole home on Tuesday night for one of the more exciting plays of the Rangers' season so far, but he's done much more than that lately. He's hitting above .300 since the all-star break, and over his last seven games is batting .333 with a double, triple and three RBIs to go with four stolen bases.

Adrian Beltre β€” After cooling off a bit, Beltre is hot again. The veteran third baseman is batting .360 over his last seven games with two home runs and five RBIs.

Shin-Soo Choo β€” Choo is hitting .313 with two doubles, a home run and he has six RBIs in his last seven games, which leads the team in that span.

Cole Hamels β€” Hamels is looking to follow up his best outing as a Ranger last time out when he allowed one run in eight innings of work while striking out 10 batters.

Mitch Moreland β€” In his last six games, Moreland is batting just .235 with no extra-base hits in his last six games, the last two of which weren't starts with Prince Fielder getting the nod at first base under National League rules.

Shawn Tolleson β€” Tolleson has worked a lot lately, and it's beginning to show. In his last four appearances, he's given up two runs on five hits and an alarming three walks.
