Who's On, Who's Not?: Sept. 16

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Prince Fielder — After an extended slump of more than a month, Fielder is starting to get into a groove again, and it couldn't be coming at a better time. He, of course, had the big game-winning homer on Monday, and he's batting .345 with a homer and five RBIs in the last seven games.

Adrian Beltre — The veteran third baseman is doing the same thing. In fact, he and Fielder have the exact same batting clip as Fielder in the last seven games — 10 hits in 29 at-bats over the last seven games. Beltre has two doubles, two homers and seven RBIs in that time.

Bullpen — Throw out newbie Andrew Faulkner, and the Rangers' bullpen has been absolute nails over the last week. In fact, over that time, the Rangers have nine relievers who have combined for 15 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball. That's pretty spectacular.

Who's Off?

Derek Holland — After a splended return to action following a four-month layoff, Holland has come back to Earth in his last two outings, including Tuesday night's. In those two starts, Holland has worked 12 2/3 innings, allowing 19 hits and 10 runs.
