Who's On, Who's Not?: Oct. 7

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Adrian Beltre — The reigning AL Player of the Week hit .474 with three doubles, two homers and 11 RBIs in the last five games of the regular season, which is all kinds of ridiculous.

Delino DeShields Jr. — After a pretty significant cool streak, the rookie center fielder has gotten in gear with a .357 average over his last five games with a double and a stolen base.

Cole Hamels — Hamels had his best start as a Ranger in his biggest game yet with the team, as he fired nine innings of two-run baseball, allowing nothing after the second inning, to help the Rangers clinch the AL West.

Who's Off?

Shawn Tolleson — The Rangers' nerve-wracking closer blew a save on Saturday, which was his fifth straight day to work, but he should be fresh now after four days of rest heading into Thursday's postseason opener.
