Who's On, Who's Not?: May 21

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Adrian Beltre — After spending much of the season in the gutter, Beltre is finally starting to swing the bat like he can after spending two weeks on the disabled list with a quad strain. Over the past five games, Beltre is hitting .350 with a double, a homer and three RBIs.

Prince Fielder/Leonys Martin — Yeah, two of the Rangers' hottest hitters aren't even in the lineup right now as Martin will miss his second straight game on Wednesday and Fielder will miss his fourth straight. The two are hitting .333 and .417, respectively, but have the sample size is small over the last week thanks to neck problems for both.

Starting rotation — Other than Colby Lewis, who struggled on Tuesday, the Rangers' rotation hasn't been bad over the last week with the highest ERA in that span belonging to Nick Martinez (2.84).

Who's Off?

Shin-Soo Choo — The best hitter for the Rangers over the course of the season is finally hitting a cool stretch. It happens to the best of them, but this is pretty bad. He's hitting just .150 over the last week.

Elvis Andrus — There for a while, it looked like Andrus had responded from being moved down in the order and then returned to the 2-hole. Now, he's hitting .200 over the last week. Here we go again.
