Who's On, Who's Not?: April 15

In a weekly staple, we'll discuss who's in a groove and who's in a rut for the Texas Rangers.

Who's On?

Prince Fielder — Over the past seven games, Fielder has been a hitting machine. He's yet to show much in the way of power, but he's getting the ball in play and getting on base, hitting .433 over that time. He has two doubles and two RBIs and has struck out just once.

Carlos Peguero — Since taking over as the primary left fielder for Ryan Rua, Peguero has been an on-base machine. He's hitting .417 in the last four games and is sporting an on-base percentage of .588 with an OPS of 1.255! Now, obviously that's all unsustainable, but it's still pretty impressive for the former coveted Mariners prospect.

Nick Martinez — Who would've thought Martinez would be the Rangers ace? Well, that's exactly where we're at two runs through the rotation. The young right-hander is 2-0 with two straight starts of seven innings and zero earned runs.

Who's Off?

Ross Detwiler — While Martinez has been great through his first two starts, the newly acquired Detwiler has been bad. He's thrown just 10 innings in those two starts and has allowed 13 runs on 18 hits with 10 of those runs being earned.

Leonys Martin — He's been demoted out of the leadoff spot, at least temporarily, and it's easy to see why. In his last seven games, he's batting just .133 with seven strikeouts and two walks.
