If the Cowboys are going to bring back an old star player this offseason, it should be DeMarc... us Ware!
Forget about DeMarco Murray. He had his run in Dallas, and it was great for a couple of years, but he's like the majority of running backs after huge workload seasons — out to pasture.
Ware, on the other hand, would do a lot for the Cowboys not only on the field, but also off of it.

The eventual Hall of Famer is coming off a Super Bowl 50 win with the Broncos, for whom he starred in the postseason, especially in the AFC Championship game and in the Super Bowl. Ware, who's cap figure for 2016 of $11.67 million is way more than he's worth at this point in his career, is sure to be cut if he doesn't rework his deal.
If that happens, the Cowboys should be blowing up his phone and begging him to come back and retire as a Cowboy after putting in another season or two with the Cowboys and helping mold young guys like Jack Crawford and Randy Gregory, if he can ever get back on the field, plus whoever they acquire in this year's draft to rush the passer.
Ware is, in Jerry Jones' words, a cornerstone player in Cowboys franchise history, and it'd be fantastic for everyone involved to see the parties reunite.
