Tyler "Ninja" Blevins says he makes $500,000 each month playing the game "Fortnight."

He told CNBC's "Squawk Alley" in March that much of it comes from Amazon Prime subscribers, who can donate to his Twitch video streaming channel, and from his 5 million YouTube subscribers.

"I'm very goofy; if you ever watched any of my streams or YouTube videos, I do impressions and stuff like that all the time and just crazy shenanigans," he said. "I think the combination of that [game skill and entertainment] is really fun to watch."
