Tom Landry Doppelgangers To Hand Out Magazines

This February, the streets of Dallas will be flooded, or at least drizzled, with Tom Landry lookalikes.

A number of faux Landrys will reportedly be placed in strategic locations around the DFW area to distribute and promote Sports Illustrated Presents: the Most Decisive Moments in Super Bowl History Issue, a look back at, and eventually, deconstruction of the most memorable moments in the history of the Super Bowl, as part of an agreement between SI and the Tom Landry Foundation.

A website was launched today, coinciding with the release of a special Super Bowl issue, allowing fans to vote on a  the most memorable “game-changing play, player's leadership or coach's decision,” says the press release.

"When a decisive moment happens in front of a massive audience, it propels itself into sports history forever,” says Mark Mravic, the head NFL Editor for SI, in the press release. “We have our opinions and want to hear what the fans think was the decision or play that told the story of the Super Bowl for a team, its fans and their city.”

After the vote, Sports Illustrated Presents The Most Decisive Moments in Super Bowl History Issue will be released on February 4, just two days before Super Bowl XLV is played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, and distributed around town by fedora-clad Tom Landry doppelgangers.
