The Dallas Cowboys will host a veritable who’s who of the running back class of 2015 over the coming weeks, and the first wave of prospects arrived in North Texas on Monday night.

Alabama’s TJ Yeldon and Georgia’s Todd Gurley headline the group that’s in town today but according to Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, aside from the two big-name running backs, this particular round of visits is decidedly defense-heavy.

Joining Yeldon and Gurley in the Metroplex this week are Arizona State safety Damarious Randall, USC corner Josh Shaw, LSU defensive end Danielle Hunter, Kentucky defensive end Alvin Dupree, UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks and Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson.

Among the running backs who will visit Valley Ranch later on are Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon, Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah and Boise State’s Jay Ajayi, owner Jerry Jones said recently.

According to Williams, the Cowboys are close to having filled all of their 30 allotted pre-draft visits, but this number doesn’t count the local prospects who will visit the team on Friday for Dallas Day.
