Dez Bryant got his fill of targets against Washington, a week after getting very few looks in the season opener. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw 12 balls at Bryant and the wide receiver grabbed 7 of them. Against the Giants, it was one catch on five targets.

Bryant ran a variety of routes that were mostly underneath the coverage. The Cowboys put No. 88 in a position to where a catch and throw was easier for Prescott. During the Giants game, Bryant ran an unusual amount of deep routes which are difficult to complete.

"I don't think there's anything special that we did. We just moved him around a lot, inside, outside," said Prescott.

Of all the adjustments made from game one to game two, this was the most noticeable and the most effective. Bryant isn't limited as a route runner. They have a rookie quarterback that needs to get him the ball, so they called for simpler routes. The longest completion went for 21 yards.

"I trust my guys, I trust them against anybody," said Prescott.

Josh Norman, Washington's high-paid corner back, did not follow Bryant around the field as many predicted. Bashaud Breeland was the primary corner back covering Bryant and No. 88 had a good day because of it.

Bryant's updated season totals: 8 catches, 110 yards, 0 touchdowns, 17 targets.
