Hey, you! Yes, you! What are you doing Thursday night? Painting your shoes? Sanding the dog? Plotting your revenge against Jamie in payroll? Watching Project Runway? Pfft. YOU LOSER. Everyone know Runway doesn’t really heat up until it reaches the final eight!
I have a much better idea for you. It involves the new Cowboys Stadium and NOT spending lots of money. It’s true! Who knew those two ideas could peacefully coexist?
The Cowboys are holding an open practice at 6 p.m. on Thursday night in the new digs. Admittance is free (parking is $10). It’s like buying one of the team’s Party Passes, only it’s cheaper, and won’t make for an soul-scarring experience. Plus, the team has arranged for lots of former Cowboys to come in for an autograph session. Expected to be there are Larry Brown, Tony Casillas, Dixon Edwards, Walt Garrison, Charles Haley, Drew Pearson, Preston Pearson, and Charlie Williams.
Wait a second? Charles Haley? The Last Naked Warrior? And they’re letting kids in? Oh, I don’t know about that.
Lest you aren’t up to speed on your Charles Haley trivia, keep in mind that Haley has a personal history of exposing himself to people, and then going <a href="one step further than is really necessary (Link contains NSFW language). I suppose that’s the price you pay for getting to tour Cowboys Stadium on the cheap. You’ll just have to weigh the benefits of saving money against subjecting your eight-year-old to a pantsless former defensive end.
Regardless, it’s not a bad way to catch a quickie glimpse of Cowboys Stadium. For a mere $10, you get to check out the field, and the concessions, and you get to see Mat McBriar inadvertently hit the video board. Is that a better way to spend your Thursday night than getting arrested for mopery again? I say yes.
Doors open at 5 p.m.
