Tebow Leaves Lasting Impression On Butler

In Thursday night’s preseason opener, Denver Broncos’ quarterback Tim Tebow left a lasting impression on at least one Dallas Cowboy.

That Dallas Cowboy would be linebacker Victor Butler, who narrowly missed sacking Tebow when the former University of Florida star shook off his attempt, righting himself just as defensive end Clifton Geathers arrived, finishing the job for the first quarter sack.

Butler, who rode an impressive preseason showing into the team’s first exhibition--he was the team's leading tackler with five, three solo--was left impressed by Tebow’s strength, and somewhat regretful over the sack that could have been his.

I didn’t know [Tebow was that strong],” Butler said Thursday, per ESPN Dallas. “I’ll know the next time. I’m going to run through him. I thought it was going to be an easy sack. I guess not. He’s a guy that’s got a little bite to him. … I heard that everybody wants a Tebow sack. It’s like getting an Xbox for Christmas. Everybody wants one. I guess I’ll have to get mine next year.”
