Stephen Jones on Romo: “I Think He Keeps Getting Better”

Tony Romo’s 2014 season is considered by many to be his best to date, and for good reason.

Romo completed almost 70 percent of his passes for 3,705 yards, 34 touchdowns and just nine interceptions while leading the Cowboys to their first NFC Championship and first playoff win since 2009.

The Cowboys’ signal caller turned 35 on Tuesday but, with the benefit of a healthy offseason for the first time in two years, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones sees no reason to believe Romo can’t have an even better year in 2015.

“No question in my mind,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan, via the Dallas Morning News. “I think he keeps getting better. I actually had a visit with him out there at the awards show and he said he’s felt as good as he has felt in years, in terms of his off-season and how his body feels and the work that he’s doing.

“The last couple of years he has been dealing with off-season surgeries and some uncomfortable things. But he said he thinks he’s ready to have the best year he’s ever had.”
