Stars Looking Forward to Resting Up Over the Break

The Stars went into the All-Star break in second place in the Central Division

Jamie Benn, Tyler Sequin and Lindy Ruff will be in Nashville for the NHL All-Star Game, but the order of the weekend for the team as a whole will be rest.

The Stars went into the break with a less-than-pretty 2-1 victory over the Flames in Dallas, and are second in the Central Division, behind only the reigning champion Chicago Blackhawks. But they had lost five of six before that and it’s worth wondering if a lot of the team’s recent problems didn’t stem from exhaustion.

For that reason, the team is both relishing the break, and trying to go in with the understanding that it goes by fast.

"I think it will be good,” Ruff said, per Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News. “To go into the break with the win is good and you can go in with a positive mindset. Then when we come out we know we have some work to do. You get one day of practice, a short day of practice, and you're right back at it and we know how tough a grind it's going to be."
