Jake Smolinski has had quite the memorable week of baseball.
Unfortunately since his call-up to Arlington, which followed just weeks after he was promoted to Triple-A Round Rock from Double-A Frisco, Smolinski has yet to taste victory at the big-league level, but it hasn't been anything of his doing.
The 25-year-old outfielder piled up three more hits on Thursday night, bringing his four-game total to eight hits, a Rangers club record. Smolinski had two doubles and a single on Thursday and drove in three runs in what was his second straight three-hit game.

Smolinski was hitting .267 with 10 home runs over the course of his Double-A and Triple-A stints this season before his call-up earlier this week — not exactly staggering numbers. But his numbers since coming to Arlington have been out of this world, even if it is just likely very temporary.
Now in his four-game MLB career, Smolinski is batting .571 with three doubles and four RBIs.
