Will Texas Stadium Signs Lead to Super Confusion?

TxDOT says the signs won't be taken down anytime soon

It's been more than three months since the televised implosion of Texas Stadium.  While much of the rubble has been cleared from the site, several large, overhead traffic signs remain.

The Texas Department of Transportation said even as North Texas gears up to host Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, it shouldn't be a problem.

"We feel like the Cowboys Stadium has publicized that event enough and will publicize that event enough that there won't be any confusion, really. There shouldn't be," said Michelle Releford, TxDOT.

Drivers like Shane Kindel disagree.

"There's going to be a lot of people from out of town and those people are definitely going to be confused, looking for the stadium," said Kindel.

The sign removal is part of the two year construction project underway at Loop 12 and state Highway 114 in Irving.  TxDOT said the signs will probably not be taken down until the project nears completion.
