SI: Cowboys Front Office Faces Crucial Offseason

SI's Don Banks believes the Dallas front office has very little room for error this offseason

Charged with the task of ranking the four front offices in the NFL under the most pressure to have a nice offseason, the Dallas Cowboys jumped to mind for SI.com’s Don Banks.

In three straight seasons now, the Cowboys have made to Week 17 with a chance to win the NFC East and make it to the postseason, and in three straight seasons, they’ve lost that game and been sent home unceremoniously. Head coach Jason Garrett has still never coached in the postseason, and the core of this Cowboys team is beginning to show its age.

Considering, Banks believes the Dallas front office is operating with little room for error.

“Nowhere should the fierce urgency of now be any higher than it is in Dallas, where the Cowboys are stuck in the maddening status quo world of 8-8 under head coach Jason Garrett, losing with a shot at the division title and a playoff trip in Week 17 for three consecutive seasons,” Banks writes. “Bill Murray in Groundhog Day had nothing on Jerry Jones and Co., who by now probably wake up every day to ‘I Got You Babe’ on the clock radio.”
