Sean Lee Remembers Pre-Draft Visit with Cowboys

Lee was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Penn State

Not surprisingly, Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee is one of the players working out at Valley Ranch ahead of the official start of the offseason program, and being there, he’ll likely get a glimpse of some of the prospects coming to town for official pre-draft visits with the team.

It seems like it, but it really wasn’t that long ago that Lee was in that position himself, going through the pre-draft process.

It’s fun. They come in, you get to see Dallas,” Lee told the team’s official website. “You get to see the stadium, you get to meet the coaches. It’s the first meeting with them and it’s a lot of fun. They make it easy.”

Lee also recalled watching film of then-Cowboys’ inside linebackers Keith Brooking and Bradie James.

“I remember coming in and we watched film of Bradie and Brooking, and I thought ‘I have to find way to step my game up,’” Lee said. “You watch these guys play with the intensity they play with—anytime you see great players like that it’s a wakeup call to you like, ‘Hey, you’ve got to find a way to play at a high level.’”

Of course, now it’s Lee on film convincing prospects they might need to step their game up.
